Women's Day - A day of celebration

At UWC CI, we also celebrated Women's Day by honouring Ms Lin and Dr Yang, along with a special guest from outside the university who joined us in commemorating this significant occasion.

International Women's Day is observed annually on March 8th to acknowledge women's social, economic, cultural, and political accomplishments and raise awareness about the ongoing struggle for gender equality worldwide. The day is marked by various events, such as rallies, marches, and conferences to promote women's rights and gender equality. It is a time to celebrate women's achievements and contributions to society while reflecting on the progress made in achieving gender equality and recognizing the work that remains to be done. While the theme for Women's Day varies yearly, the overarching objective remains consistent: to promote gender equality and empower women to reach their full potential.

Happy women's day!
