On October 6, the University of the Western Cape's Confucius Institute hosted the 5th Belt and Road Youth English-Speaking Competition, witnessing many linguistic talents across the region. Among the eloquent, Sidharth Singh emerged as the victor, his articulate English and insightful deliveries setting him apart.



This victory wasn't the pinnacle but a stepping stone for Sidharth. Post this triumph, he soared onto the global stage, representing South Africa in the subsequent competition, where he showcased his oratory prowess to the semi-finals. His journey, from local stages to international platforms, highlights his linguistic aptitude and underscores the essence of such competitions in fostering global cultural dialogues and connections.
