Enjoying the Spring Festival Gala, Celebrating the Chinese New Year Together

On January 28, teachers from the Confucius Institute of Chinese Medicine at the University of the Western Cape gathered at Nu Metro Cinema, Canal Walk, Century City , Cape Town to watch the China Central Television (CCTV) Spring Festival Gala and celebrate the Lunar New Year. This event not only immersed the teachers in the festive atmosphere of the Chinese New Year but also strengthened their connection to traditional Chinese culture.

The Spring Festival Gala, a grand cultural feast for Chinese people worldwide, featured a variety of performances, including singing, dancing, comedy sketches, and martial arts displays, showcasing the charm of Chinese culture. Throughout the viewing, the teachers laughed, cheered, and were moved by the performances, sharing a warm and joyful experience that brought them a sense of home.
