Delegation from Zhejiang Institute of Chinese Culture Visits Chinese Medicine Confucius Institute at UWC

On the morning of October 29, 2025, a delegation from the Zhejiang Chinese Culture Institute visited the Chinese Medicine Confucius Institute at the University of the Western Cape. The two sides held a meeting to conduct in-depth discussions on strengthening cultural and educational exchange and cooperation.

During the meeting, both Chinese and South African directors of the Confucius Institute provided a comprehensive introduction to the Confucius Institute’s faculty development, teaching activities, and the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine in South Africa. The Zhejiang Institute of Chinese Culture delegation expressed sincere appreciation for the recent achievements of the Confucius Institute and local Chinese schools, and shared the Institute’s practical experiences in international cultural exchange and traditional culture training.

Both sides agreed that this meeting would serve as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation in promoting outstanding Chinese traditional culture, particularly in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and jointly advance cultural exchange between China and South Africa to a new level.
