Confucius Institute Team Participates in Employee Wellness Day

On 31 March 2026, the Confucius Institute(CI) for Chinese Medicine at the University of the Western Cape was invited to take part in the Employee Wellness Day. Through a combination of sporting activities and cultural performances, the CI’s teaching team demonstrated a positive and energetic spirit.

During the event, the teachers actively participated in a range of recreational sports, including a fun run, football, and domino games. In the cultural showcase segment, a Traditional Chinese Medicine instructor gave a live demonstration of Daoyin, a traditional Chinese therapeutic exercise. All Institute teachers then performed the Shaolin Lianhuan Quan, a routine characterised by a balance of strength and grace, vividly illustrating the essence of Chinese martial arts and wellness culture.

A TCM tea experience area was also arranged on site, offering attendees the opportunity to sample herbal teas while receiving explanations of their respective health benefits. The activity was well received by many participants.

With exercise and wellness as its central themes, the event not only strengthened bonds of friendship among local and international faculty and staff, but also served as an effective platform for the dissemination of traditional Chinese culture and the promotion of cross-cultural exchange and mutual enrichment.

i downloaded Marble Sort Game because i like sorting games in general, but i kept playing because this one actually has board pressure. if the matching box is all the way across the circle, that marble is just out there clogging traffic until it makes the lap.
