Celebrate Dragon Boat Festival, Let's taste Zongzi together!

On June 10, 2024, the Confucius Institute at the University of the Western Cape successfully held a Dragon Boat Festival celebration and End-of-Semester Graduation Ceremony in the Confucius Institute classroom.

Confucius Institute Lecturer Wilma Hugo (于静) first introduced the origins and customs of the Dragon Boat Festival and then invited everyone to taste the delicious red bean paste zongzi. Iris Wu (武长虹) , the director of the Confucius Institute stated that this event was not only an inheritance and promotion of traditional culture but also a powerful embodiment of Sino-South African cultural exchange. The Confucius Institute will continue to be committed to promoting cultural exchanges between China and South Africa, organizing more colorful cultural activities and encourage more students to learn about Chinese language and Chinese culture.

Subway Surfers City is more than just running; it's about exploration and strategy. Features like Stomp Move and Bubblegum Shield create hidden pathways and innovative maneuvers. The runner experience is now faster and smarter than ever before.

I like how this post highlights the cultural meaning behind the Dragon Boat Festival, not just the food. Zongzi traditions are always interesting to learn about. It’s fun how learning culture can feel interactive, almost like exploring mathplayground in a different way.

At first view, it might look like a Geometry Dash simple jumping game, but as players learn more about theory-crafting, secret coins, hidden paths, and Easter eggs, they start to see how big the world behind the game really is.
