2025 BRICS Youth Dialogue Held at UWC
On 28 July 2025, the BRICS Youth Dialogue was held at the Confucius Institute of Chinese Medicine at the University of the Western Cape. The event brought together students from UWC to explore key themes such as South-South cooperation, youth engagement in global development, and the growing partnership between China and South Africa.
Distinguished speakers included Prof. Shi Zhiqin from Tsinghua University, who offered a strategic perspective on BRICS and international relations; Dr. Umesh Bawa, Director of UWC’s International Relations Office, who highlighted the importance of education and collaboration in China–South Africa relations; and Dr. Brett Lyndall Singh, a leading South African entrepreneur, who encouraged youth to actively shape the future through global engagement.
The dialogue sparked dynamic discussions and enthusiastic participation from students, reflecting their strong interest in international issues and the role of youth in global change. The event not only deepened understanding among BRICS nations but also reinforced the importance of youth voices in building a more connected and cooperative world.
It was great to see the BRICS Youth Dialogue bring together so many passionate students at UWC. I really appreciated Dr. Brett Lyndall Singh's point about youth actively shaping the future through global engagement — that resonated with me a lot. It's encouraging to see universities fostering these kinds of conversations about South-South cooperation and what it means to be young and globally connected today. The event really highlighted how important it is for students to stay engaged with international issues rather than keeping their heads down. Thanks for sharing this! transparent png maker
Frankly, after dealing with persistent mobile responsive bugs and terrible server latency all through the weekend, I completely understand why people just look for smooth, optimized environments to unwind in. If you are tracking site performance and fast mobile asset rendering around the region, checking out platforms like online casinos South Africa actually offers a pretty interesting case study in handling heavy UI interactions without lag. It kind of reminds me of the absolute nightmare I had trying to clean up my local app build last week: everything kept crashing on smaller viewports, updates kept timing out, and I ended up spending half the night rewriting components just to get a stable, fast interface.
Honestly, this BRICS Youth Dialogue at UWC was inspiring-seeing students engage small caps text
