AIFA Beaufort West Base

On the morning of the 9th of February, a group of teachers and scholars from the University of the Western Cape departed to the nearby AIFA base located in Beaufort West.

AIFA, the AVIC International Flight Training Academy, housed students from all across China. During the pandemic, students who graduated could not return home as the flights were limited. This movement was initiated as it was Chinese New year, one of the biggest festival celebrations, and unfortunately, these students were far from home.

Our teacher and scholars brought wishes and typical New Year's goodies to our students to celebrate with them our Chinese New Year. We hope that these students and graduates will be safe and return home and reunite with their family and friends.

Nice gesture, but let’s be real—New Year’s isn’t the same without family. Some goodies won’t fix that. Just saying.percentage decrease calculator
